BEACH FLOATY THINGYS is a short film inspired by a vacation gone wrong. Set in the summer of 1998 it tells the story of sisters Grace and Hope whose grand plans to soak up some sun on the beaches of South Carolina are thwarted when a family emergency leaves them in charge of their four nieces and nephews. For Hope, the transition into a responsible adult is a no-brainer. But Grace struggles to balance her desire for fun with the needs of the kids.  This warm comedy highlights the importance of joy in preserving our resilience and celebrates the impact that aunts and uncles can have in our lives.
